Supplement Reviews and Ratings

While it may seem daunting to try and research all the available nutritional supplements (also known as vitamins) on the market, you can breathe easy.  The hard work has already been done for you, and listed in the “Nutri-Search Comparative Guide To Nutritional Supplements.”  More than 1,500 supplement reviews and ratings were performed, and only 4 were given the Nutri-Search Gold Medal for excellence.

Every Christian woman concerned with good health should be taking one of these four supplements:

  • Creating Wellness Alliance
    • available through chiropractic offices
    • approx. $64/month
  • Douglas Laboratories
    • available through doctors’ offices
    • approx. $57/month
  • Truestar Health
    • available at fitness centers
    • approx. $47/month
  • Usana Health Sciences
    • available online (order the “Essentials”)
    • approx. $40/month

If you are currently taking something else, I recommend checking out your supplement reviews and ratings in the “Comparative Guide.”  If your supplement gets a substandard rating, it may be time to switch to one of the Gold Medal winners.

If you have read the Christian weight loss guide, “Learn, Lose, Live: A 3-Phase Plan For Transforming Your Eating Habits,” you know that not supplementing your diet properly can hold you back from losing all the weight you need to.

If you haven’t read the guide yet, I encourage you to download it here today.

What To Look For In A Nutritional Supplement

All supplements are not created equal.  As mentioned in yesterday’s post, you could be wasting your money on supplements that don’t perform.  But even worse yet, the supplements you are putting in to your body could even be dangerous.  In an unregulated industry, you need to look for a manufacturer that imposes its own strict standards on the supplements they put on the market.

The manufacturer of any supplement you choose should:

  1. Adhere to U.S. and Canada Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
    • These are the standards that pharmaceutical manfacturers are required to adhere to.  If your supplement manufacturer adheres to these same standards, you know you are receiving a high-quality product.
  2. Follow U.S. Pharmacopeia Guidelines
    • Following these guidelines means that your supplements are guaranteed to actually dissolve in your stomach!
  3. Include Nutrients at Optimal Levels
    • Following U.S. Recommended Daily Allowance (USRDA) for nutrients (as most leading brands do) will not provide the nutrients you need to prevent degenerative disease.  This is because the USRDA is an outdated standard that was created to prevent acute deficiency diseases such as scurvy and rickettes!  A truly beneficial supplement will include nutrients at levels optimal for noticeably improving your health.
  4. Provide Nutrients In Correct Ratios
    • All nutrients work together, so if they are not provided in the correct ratios, you may literally be flushing away potential benefits.

Fortunately, you don’t have to do all the research yourself, because it has been done for you.  A company called NutriSearch has studied over 1,500 nutritional supplements and rated them.  Out of all these, only 4 won NutriSearch’s Gold Medal.

The book is available through Amazon.com:

You can order a copy of the book yourself, or just come back tomorrow! In tomorrow’s post I will share with you the to four Gold Medal winners, and share with you the pros and cons of each, and how you can get them for yourself.
